Description The article focuses on mural paintings from the Pilgrimage Church of the Flagellated Saviour in Dyje, especially on their historic context and questions about the degree of authorship of the individual painters participating in the decoration work. Paintings, rendered by Viennese academic painter Franz Anton Maulbertsch, also came with an interesting iconographic concept, explained in detail by printed interpretation undersigned by Maulbertsch himself. The text also focuses on issues relating to the share of Maulbertsch`s co-workers on the authorship of paintings.
