Description Czech sentence negation could be expressed by the means of negative concord in every period of the development of Czech. Nevertheless, in Old Czech it was possible, and in certain cases even necessary, to violate the negative concord. Translations of the Bible from period since the beginning of the 15th up to the 18th century show development of the means of Czech negative concord, settling of specific means of negation and also gradual weakening of a rule, which required a non-negative verb form after the conjunction ani(ž).
