Description The article contains description of the history of a family whose members were called according to their family seats of Cerveneho Hradku, Stare Rise and Holoubka. The first part deals with the origins of the family, which are associated with Markvart of Hradku, the founder of the Premonstratensian monastery in the Nova Rise. Attention is paid to the identification Markvart using not only contemporary documents, but also the monastery necrology from the 16th century as well as comparison of the contradictions in the existing literature. The article continues with a description of the lives of Markvart z Hradku and Ludmila z Rise, the first family members documented with certainty. The second part of the article contains a description of the genealogical relationships of the family and its property development during the time reign of the of Luxembourgs.
