Description Hollywood filmmakers have frequently focused on questions concerning the operation of the American legal and justice system. The workshop included papers that explored how the Hollywood law and courtroom dramas enter contemporary political debates and social struggles, and assessed the manner in which such films engage the categories of class, ethnicity, race, age, gender, and sexual orientation, family, sanity, health, etc. in regard to this particular genre.
