Description In the wide scope of subjects of the Munich school in the 2nd half of the 19th century, paintings of animals belonged according to the respected hierarchy of genres to lower ones, with fewer important content, but they were popular by public. Respecting to the program of symposium, a special attention has been devoted to the question of “lecture” of artworks from the category of animal genres and to the ways of reflecting various relations between man and animal.
