Description Diagnostics based on projective methods is not only dependent on client's content but also on psychologist's interpretation. Therefore, validation of these methods should be focused on process of making diagnose and on variables that influenced the interpretation. According to foreign studies (Meehl, 1954; Groove et al., 2000), psychologists are not able to match picture to its author (client) and their experience is not a facilitating factor. The aim of this study was to explore, whether variables (experience, psychologist´s specialization, type of clients, courses, etc…) are enhancing success in matching projective pictures and stories to children clinical anamnesis. Participants were psychologists (N = 130) from different psychological fields (clinics, counselling, work psychology,…) and students of psychology. The e-mail was sent to all of them and their participation was voluntary. The Fantasy animal game and the Tree test were used for gaining projective material. The data were collected on the web page, which was programmed for this purpose. Our hypotheses were confirmed. None of 15 variables were statistically significant in relation with successfulness of psychologists' guesses. Moreover, correlation between sum of right answers and experience (r = -0,151) indicates an opposite results than the common assumption that validity of projective methods increase with experience.
