| Description | In the contribution personages of twin gods or heroes in various Indo-European traditions are analyzed from both the mythological and etymological points of view. Newly a Greek counterpart is introduced. The Fenno-Ugric parallels, probably borrowed from an Indo-Iranian source, offer an explanation, why just the Indo-Iranian twin-god *Yama- was connected with the kingdom of the dead. |
