| Description | The theme of this lecture is the process of the birth of a person with full rights – the citizen in the Habsburg monarchy. The focal point is an analysis of the status of former serfs after the abolition of serfdom (1781) and the promulgation of the General Civic Code in 1811. The process of citizens acquiring rights is accompanied by the emergence of identifying and registering people. |
