Citation
Description The paper compares various references to fear in the accounts of John of Plano Carpini and William of Rubruck with the aim to understand each of the author´s discourse on the experience of travel. The discrepancies between the authors perspectives, although they concern very similar travel experience, are interpreted through the concept of "emotional communities" (B. Rosenwein).
