Description Slovak Science recognizes the Personality of Stefan Moyses mainly because of his Activies in Martin, but only few people know that he spent twenty years in Croatia. In the past Svetozár Hurban - Vajanský wrote The Life of Štefan Moyses (1970), It was a memoir about personalities of Štefan Moyses. Also Andrej Kliman describe his life very credible in his book PhDr. Štefan Moyses (1948). The contribution will focus mainly on the personality of Štefan Moyses, his work and life in the Croatian city of Zagreb. Rudo Brtáň, in his book titled Štefan Moyses a Chorváti (1949), claims that the personality of Štefan Moyses and his work in Zagreb is not yet explored. We will try to overcome this claim by trying to overcome this important life stage of Bishop Moyses on the basis of correspondence and materials from the Zagreb, Banská Bystrica and Martin archives, which will be also mentioned. In addition to Vajanský and Brtáň, the life of Štefan Moyses was dealt with by Belo Polla in his short publication PhDr. Stefan Moyses (1997). Interestingly, poems are found for the glory of Stefan Moyses from his students, these poems will also be mentioned. We will be based on Slovak, but mainly Croatian, historical sources and literary journals in order to acquaint the audience with a new perspective on the personality of Štefan Moyses and his life in Slovak-Croatian cultural relations.
