| Description | The article presents an introduction to world of neo-pagan music in Czech Republic and Slovakia. Author briefly discusses the origin of this subgenre of popular music and then he characterise the musical scene on examples of successful local Neo-pagan musical bands. Main arguments of article are a) paganism is embodied in music thanks to specific sounds and lyrics b) Czech and Slovak Neo-pagan bands are heavily concerned with topic of tradition and local culture, in which Pagan plays role of more authentic „vehicle“ for concept of local and national identity then Christian. |
