| Description | Demonstrations, protest marches, blockades or various forms of occupation strikes are part of a specific set of events, through which actors can express a collective complaint. The repertoires defined in this way are based on social conventions, performative traditions, and contain patterns of interaction. The meanings attached to individual events change over time; they are criticized and interpreted, in other words, they are fought for. I presented the development of this repertoire in the historical perspective of the second half of the twentieth century, focusing mainly on the period of the 1960s and its influence on the current form of protest. |
