Description We conducted a qualitative survey on a sample of Faculty of Arts Masaryk University teachers in fall 2020. Thirty-four teachers participated in in-depth interviews. Our aim was to find out how teachers dealt with integrating digital technologies during emergency distance teaching in the time of covid-19 pandemics (spring term 2020). In this paper, we analyze data on teacher beliefs about quality teaching in higher education. Moreover, we show how these beliefs affect the teacher approach to technological challenges in pandemics.
