| Description | An introductory article for the thematic issue "Routes of the contemporary Portuguese short story“ of the academic journal Metamorfoses (Revista de Estudos Literários Luso-Afro-Brasileros da Cátedra Jorge de Sena da Faculdade de Letras da UFRJ, Brasil). Besides introduction of the texts of the thematic issue, the article offers a brief reflection on the short story genre, its history, specific aspects and idiosyncrasy. The theoretical support is provided by the work by A.M. Ferreira and E.A. Poe. |
