Description The purpose of this thesis was to prepare a common information base for an exhibition related to epidemics. The goal of this thesis was to track and to synoptically compose information related to antiepidemic measures valid in health care system, including folk healers, as well as in the area of legislation and executive administration in the Bohemian and especially Moravian lands; in the period starting from the Middle Ages up till now, also interfering with the general history of health care. The period context of acceptance of the given measures is also taken into account. Given the current limitations caused by the actual COVID-19 pandemic the resources used were those available online plus both classified and popular literature. Acquired knowledge was then composed periodically. Since the topic is broad and extensive, the most important findings were subsequently picked - according to their importance and impact on the society. Quite surprisingly we found out that there still rules certain religious fatalism in the society these days based on which there is no purpose in trying to fight epidemics as they are a manifestation of God‘s will.
