The Rhymed German Translation of the Chronicle of the So-Called Dalimil and its Strategies of Identification

|The chapter focuses on the rhymed German translation of the so-called Dalimil's chronicle, especially the distinctions to the Old Czech original as well as the fragment of the prose translation into Latin. Based on the identified specificities, the differing modes or strategies of identification are discussed, which likely correspond to different aims and the assumed primary recipients of the respective language versions, with regard to the linguistic, ethnic or social status.
