Description Can it be said that medieval art is Russian? Or Ukrainian? The current armed conflict and accompanying propaganda has reopened the question of the use (and abuse) of the past to justify the present. A look at pre-modern art indicates, however, that the reality was quite different between the 11th and 12th centuries: the world was not divided into modern nations, but into states in constant communication with each other.
