| Description | The lecture presented naming surveys in Brno (Czech Republic), which have been realised in the last 15 years (baby animals born in the zoo, new railway station, trams, park). Names obtained from naming surveys are interesting linguistic material, which tells a lot about the naming abilities and naming strategies of current users of the Czech language. In the case of local surveys closely related to Brno, the values with which we identify ourselves as residents of Brno and symbols that we perceive as relevant in connection with Brno are reflected. |
