| Description | Since the end of the 20th century, an archive of private handwritten letters has been created at the Department of Czech Language, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University. The aim of this archive is to preserve disappearing evidence of this traditional form of written communication and to make a corpus-processed version of the material available to the academic community. Two corpora of correspondence (KSKdopisy and KSK111) that are mapping the development of letters since the beginning of the 20th century are presented in this contribution; the contribution also indicates opportunities of linguistic use of this exceptional material and summarizes selected results of research carried out to the present day. |
