Description The study tries to evaluate the curricular changes made to teaching practice courses in the Teacher Training in a History study program at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno. It points out a significant increase in the share of teaching practice in the curricula and presents the authors’ empirical views on the form of propedeutic courses, courses that join theory with practice, and courses in actual teaching practice, which represent the key feature of the reform. Practical examples are employed to illustrate how the trainees apprehend their teaching role, the aid of their supporting teachers, and their own practice.
