| Description | We have focused our contribution on Jean Cocteau and the patrons who were important in his life, because many works would never have been born (at least not in the form in which readers and admirers of Cocteau know them). There are several dominant traits concerning the character of Jean Cocteau which have always ensured him good friends, admirers and ultimately also patrons. Thanks to his virtuosity, to his “difficulty of being”, to the poetry of his life and his work, the poet met a few patrons, we will favor three: Gabrielle Chanel, Marie-Laure de Noailles and Francine Weisweiller. |
