Description The paper deals with armed violence in south Moravia during the first months of Czechoslovakia. It focus on violence between armies of the Czechoslovak Republic and German Austria, from soldiers against peasants and especially against minorities and from veterans against minorities and their goods. It’s based on author’s theses‘, which deals with the Slovak Brigade and Volkswehr. The years 1918 and 1919 were in south Moravia really violent. It happens to a lot of incidents, which spent blood and lives of soldiers and peasants. Using of violence in everyday life wasn’t common only in Moravia. It becomes of standard in German Austria, Germany, Poland and Hungary. It was a part of relics of the First World War. It depends on political and social freedom, which came after the Great War. The paper is based on archival sources from the Military Historical Archives in Prague, Moravian Lands Archives in Brno and States Archives in Vienna (departments Kriegsarchiv and Archiv der Republik). It takes account of opinions from memoirs too. The whole problem is settled into broader context.
