Description According to the architectural historian Stefan Albrecht, the boom in the construction of town halls was caused not only by growing administrative demands, but above all by the need for worthy urban representation. In the conference paper I focused on the town halls in Brno, Olomouc and Prague in the 15th and especially 16th century. One of my main tasks was to show the communicative role of these buildings and to reveal their symbolic language.
