| Description | For the group centred around the publisher Josef Florian from Stará Říše, the La Salette apparition played a fundamental role in shaping their relationship to their faith and their mission to publish selected Catholic books. They were not afraid to transgress the Church's prohibitions in order to intensively propagate the apparition. The paper will focus on one hand on their strategies of spreading awareness of this pilgrimage site in the first half of the 20th century, but it will also analyse the perspective of the other side, the Brno church authorities, and their efforts to prevent these activities. |
