Description | February 1948, which brought a communist coup in Czechoslovakia, integrated the country into the bloc of states grouped around the Soviet Union. This coup initiated a wave of emigration of the Czechoslovak population towards the "West". At the same time, however, political migrants with a left-wing orientation were heading to the country in search of refuge. This paper focuses on how the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (KSČ) dealt with the arrival of these migrants and which of them were reflected in the contemporary press, and conversely, which were to remain out of the public eye. |
