Description The contribution brings the results of a partial survey as part of the project "Parents of children with special educational needs in the role of educational and social partners of the school". It was found out it is not common to offer to parents a participation in providing special support in the special schools. It is a presence in the class and a parents assistance at exceptional school activities that is offered the most often. Parents have less opportunities to participate in providing special support in the role of assistants in the class. Occasionally parents are offered a presence or an assistance at special educational therapeutic activities and at an individual work of special education teacher with a pupil. The view of a special support by a recording technique is an unconventional method that is not usually offered to parents. The participation at a whole-class teaching is more accessible to parents than a participation at an individually provided support and therapy.
