| Description | An analysis of 850 wills and other sources from probate proceedings in the royal town Chrudim during the 16th-18th centuries. The paper is attended to the inheritance practice in connection with family structures and a sex of testators: the position of individual heirs (spouses, children and stepchildren etc.), the inheritance strategies within a family, the phenomenon of disinheritance. The second part of the study follows the inheritance disputes, both from the more general point of view and on the basis of two in detail described cases. |
