Description The paper analyses some of the problems of researching the teacher’s identity which is described from two points of view: pedagogical and psychological. According to the contemporary trends in social sciences the authors try to propose more integral conception of the teacher’s identity. They pay attention to the psychological theory and research and also reflect the social approach of the teacher’s identity {e.g. problems of influencing the teachers pedagogical work and his/her identity formation}.
