Description In the extended review, the voluminous collective edition of all Latin commentaries to the late ancient encyclopedy by Martianus Capella (particularly noteworthy are commentaries of John Scotus Eriugena, Remigius de Auxerre or Bernardus Silvestris), composed during the Middle Ages, are analysed. The author of the review appraises the lucid arrangement of the bilingual edition as well as profundity of the historical and philosophical commentary. As non-consequent, she regards the absence of Latin originals to particular commentaries, as well as omitting of the younger commentaries.
