Religious Confraternities in Baroque Brno.). Brno: Archiv města Brna, 2010, 380 pp. Brno v minulosti a dnes, Supplementum 10. ISBN 978-80-86736-19-8.
Description The book deals with a phenomenon of laic religious confraternities in the period after the Council of Trent. The authors tried to reconstruct the importance and the activities of these brotherhoods namely on the example of Moravian town Brno. This was made both from the perspective of confraternities themselves (organization, activities) and from the perspective of the town and its citizens (popularity of brotherhoods, aspects of development). The biggest part of the book is represented by a detailed analysis of statutes of the confraternities and their activities within the framework of the town.
