  • Preliminary payroll posting: December 15 2023

Office for Research and Development

  • We kindly ask the project investigators to think about submitting the interim or final reports of their projects on time during January 2024. Please keep an eye on our news.

International Office

For mobility statistics, please check the mobility records for 2023. The categories counted and how they are recorded:

  • outgoing employees: INET
  • incoming foreign guests: ISOIS
  • outgoing students: IS
  • PhD students – short-term mobility up to 14 days – registration at the workplace (to be requested)
  • incoming students: IS

It is possible to record the online mobilities as well, but these will not be reflected in budgeting.

Enter the incoming guests for 2023 into ISOIS no later than December 15, 2023.

Office for Studies

  • Office hours of the Office for Studies will be until December 22 2023, inclusive. From December 23 2023, to January 1 2024, the department is closed.

Central Library

  • The library, team study rooms and reading room will be open until 17:00. On December 22, 2023. Full operation from January 2 2024.
  • Receipt of invoices for the purchase of information resources: until December 15 2023

Mailroom

  • The last day for dispatching consignments is Friday, December 22 2023. All consignments delivered to the mailroom no later than 15:00 on December 21 2023, will be dispatched; consignments registered in the IS MU Office must be delivered to the mailroom no later than 12:00 on December 22 2023.
  • Receipt of shipments is also guaranteed on 27–29 December 2023.

Building Management

  • From December 23 2023, to January 1 2024, all buildings will be closed – however, access will be possible in exceptional cases with approval. Staff are advised to use the entrances via the concierge desk if they need to enter the Faculty and report there when they arrive and leave the workplace.
  • To inspect work areas (flowers, appliances, etc.), the facilities will be opened to all employees on December 27, 2023.
  • During the closure, the interior spaces will not be heated to a comfortable temperature but will only be tempered to save some heating costs.
  • Before the closure of the Faculty, please perform or arrange for the following activities in your departments to minimize risks and emergencies: carefully check all windows are closed; defrost fridges and unplug all electrical appliances from their sockets in particular, please check that cookers, kettles, phone chargers, laptop and tablet power supplies are unplugged as these are common causes of fires; checking that the thermostatic control valves on all central heating appliances are open; checking the closure of water taps; switching off all lights etc.
  • Building Management will carry out the inspection and security of common areas and lecture halls.
  • If you discover any technical faults in your workplace, please inform maintenance immediately – preferably by e-mail to udrzba@phil.muni.cz.
  • From December 23, 2023 to January 1, 2023, the exit from the Faculty via building B1 will be prevented. Please use the access via the Arna Novák 1/1 gatehouse.
