Citation
Description In the paper called Changes in discourse about A. P. Chekhov 1945-1968 author focused primarily on the emergence of conceptualizing of Chekhov’s personality and his works in the czechoslovakian region between end of WWII and invasion of Warsaw Pact armies. She researched most often used narative strategies and philosophical concepts through analysis of forewords and epilogues, textbooks, papers, studies and monographies. This way she discovered slightly different points of view on Chekhov as human being and also communist era-based interpretations of his plays and short stories with all the things highlighted and things dissmissed. Then she compared arisen hypothesis with texts (review or programmes) about performances of Chekhov’s plays. In these she tried to find similarities and also distinctions from the main discourse at given time.
