| Description | The core product of Brno's application practice in the Middle Ages and early modern times were the legal instructions that the city provided to individual applicants within its legal circle. After the explanation about the nature of legal instructionss - in terms of terminology, structure, content and legal bindingness, a practical part followed. In this part students read and subsequently interpreted individual legal instructions and, in addition, reflected on the function of glosses, which the agenda in question, especially the Mns. No. 71 AMB, accompanied. The conclusion of the seminar brought space for reflection on ius commune - i.e. the general principles of Roman and canon law in the analyzed legal instructions. |
