| Popis | Aristotle's explanations of cosmic phenomena ruled the European view of the world order for centuries. Considering the level of ancient astronomy it is at least remarkable how complex and exhausting are the ideas provided in De Caelo. Even though it found its opponents relatively early it were the findings of modern science which succeeded in proving it wrong. The aim of this speech is to show what was the role of the methods used in forming this concept and what does this treatise say about Aristotle’s methodology of science itself. |
