The Canadian Studies Center is pleased to invite you to the second Annual Lecture, which will be delivered by Laura Moss from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. This lecture will trace changing representations of nature in Canadian arts and literature, from early environmental imaginaries to contemporary responses to the climate crisis. Taking a climate justice approach, it will explore artistic and poetic responses to deforestation, climate change, petroculture, and genetic modification, before turning to speculative visions of alternative and post-apocalyptic futures.
