HR Excellence in Research

We are a proud holder of the HR Award!

The European Commission grants the HR Award (HR Excellence in Research logo) to research institutions that implement the HRS4R (The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers). This strategy is based on the 40 principles set out in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. To date, the European Commission has awarded this award to more than 580 European research institutions.

On December 2, 2019, the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University subscribed to the principles enshrined in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, and as a research institution committed to creating quality working conditions, support for professional development and transparent recruitment procedures for researchers.

On April 14, 2021, the European Commission decided to grant HR Excellence in Research. Our faculty thus advanced to the implementation phase of the project, during which the steps of the Action Plan will be gradually implemented.

HR Award - MU Counselling Centre thinks about employees' mental health

Psychological counselling is available to those who work at MU at least part-time and can take advantage of up to three free consultations.

HR Award - New developments in recruitment and selection procedures

It enshrines the principles of an open, transparent and merit-based selection process or regulates the related procedures and rules in more detail. It has been in force since January this year.

HR Award - New guidelines clearly define communication channels and selected principles of faculty communication

It strives to ensure that relevant information is well accessible to the various target groups. It also includes a requirement for bilingualism, compliance with the JVS, or even suggestions for gender-sensitive language.

HR Award - Another workshop for heads of departments focused on measures against sexual harassment

They learned about the forms sexual harassment could take, the policies and procedures the university uses to address it, and the legislative documents related to the topic.
