Recruitment and selection procedures at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University have undergone some important changes since this year. These are reflected in the new directive which regulates this area at our Faculty. In accordance with the revised MU Selection Procedure Regulations, it establishes, among other things, the principles of an open, transparent and merit-based recruitment process and sets out the related rules and procedures in more detail.
One of the main priorities of the HR Award is to introduce recruitment and selection procedures that respect the principles of openness, transparency and merit-based evaluation (OTM-R) within two years of the award. By the revised MU Selections Rules, which defined the basic principles of recruitment and selection at MU, the Faculty has therefore developed an implementing regulation in the form of Directive No.3/2022 – Selection Procedures Rules at the MU Faculty of Arts. The Directive is effective as of 1 January 2023 and is intended primarily for managers and all staff involved in the recruitment process at the Faculty.
The information seminar was also intended for them, aimed at familiarising them with the new rules of selection procedures at the Faculty effective from January 2023. It was prepared by the HR Award team together with the Personnel Office. In addition, members of the selection committees will receive all relevant information upon appointment to the selection committee in the form of an e-learning training course prepared by the MU in cooperation with the Competence Development Centre (CERPEK).
Considering the importance of this information for the job applicants, we have simplified their access to information by setting up a new faculty career page.
The results of the selection procedures are then publicly announced on a particular MU website.
