HR Award – Find out what topics are related to gender equality in academia
The Nora Gender Information Centre offers on its YouTube channel a new series of short informative videos on this topic.
The HR Excellence in Research Award (HR Award for short) is an award that you have probably heard a lot about at FA MU. You may also have noticed that the principles of the Charter and Code pay special attention to early-stage researchers, especially doctoral students.
During work on the Gap Analysis, many topics, questions, and suggestions arose in connection with PhD studies. We reflected this fact in the Action Plan, where we propose a number of measures to improve the quality of PhD studies. This year we decided to first address almost 600 PhD students of the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University to share with us their opinions on the conditions of study and work at our faculty, using an anonymous online questionnaire. The results of the questionnaire survey will help us to further specify what is currently set up well for PhD students and what, on the other hand, needs to be modified or improved.
Data collection will take place from 9 to 23 February 2021. A link to questionnaire will be active during this period.

Like the previous one, it will be used to create a new university-wide gender equality plan. In addition, the three-year gap will allow us to monitor how far we have progressed in this area.
