Popis Epigraphic evidence in Sardinia for the mid-10th century shows the interesting phenomenon of the coexistence of Latin and Greek culture. The fragments of two ciboria discovered in the catacombs of Sant’Antioco and near the church of Nuraminis present inscriptions in an incomplete state but demonstrate the adoption of the Latin alphabet to write Greek sentences, as well as the presence of both alphabets in the same monument. The aim is to contextualise this phenomenon in relation to the Mediterranean area and try to recognise the cultural environment from which the sculpted monument originated through palaeographic analysis of the writings.
