Popis This paper deals with multi-text codices as synchronic and diachronic structures which are partly the result of individual choices and partly the result of sedimentation and erosion from copy to copy: if a synchronic approach to miscellanies has been quite common in the past decades and several times has proved to be profitable, an approach which is at the same time synchronic and diachronic appears to explain the manuscript miscellany question even better, by adding a historical depth and showing the dynamics of manuscript miscellanies. Examples are taken from the tradition of Italian texts, but the paper aims at providing a general theory valid for other traditions as well.
