Popis The first chapter of Comenius’s School of Infancy consists of both theological and metaphysical discerning of the “glory and being” of the children. Comparing the precious creatural being of silver and gold with the being of the children, Comenius suggests that the very theological foundation of the children’s being most appropriately reflects Trinitarian creativity itself. “Gold and silver are objects produced by the command of God; whereas children are creatures in the production of which the all-sacred Trinity instituted special council, and formed them with His own fingers.” Although silver and gold like all other beings are created by the word of God and, therefore, share the Trinitarian structure of being (wisdom, power, and goodness); only the children are given to us as a mirror reflecting both the Trinitarian mystery of God and the Trinitarian nature of our own being. According to Comenius, they are our preceptors. We owe to them the most diligent attention. Therefore, as it seems, the metaphysics of childhood opens the playground of every Trinitarian ontology or Trinitarian metaphysics.
