| Popis | „And that can really be researched?“ Czech Metal Studies and their eight-year journey with the scientific concept of metal music Metal music was still considered a cultural decay at the end of the last century, but it was also one of the most respected countercultures. In the 21st century, the phenomenon of metal studies has emerged, which already has a firmly established tradition in the world and is represented in the Czech Republic for the eighth year by the research association Czech Metal Studies. People from the fields of religious studies, musicology, sociology, linguistics, or philosophy will briefly introduce themselves not only as academics who are (not only) researching metal music but also as members of a subculture whose path to metal and with metal has been different. Get to know metal a little differently and discover that it can be a relevant topic for a dissertation or serious research. |
