Manuscript tradition of the herbarium Galganum

The aim of this project is to trace all preserved Latin and Old Bohemian versions of the herbarium Galganum, compiled before the middle of the 14th century in Bavaria, in European manuscript libraries. On the basis of a thorough study of manuscripts, the Latin and Old Bohemian traditions of this text, which became the best-seller of its genre in Central Europe during the 15th century, will be described.
